Description :

The prediction of the flow field behind a circular cylinder was archieved in an effort
to validate a new numerical method for the solution of steady-unsteady incompressible
flow fields inside domains with arbitry shaped and movable boundaries.
This numerical methodology is based on the artificial compressibility concept when
it is applied to the Flux Vector Splitting method (a numerical method for the solution
of compressible flows) Here, the visualization procedure contribute in the attemp
for better description of vortex dynamic phenomena in the wake (far and near)
of a circular cylinder for Re=1000. It concerns the vorticity contours in the wake
behind a cylinder over one period of the unsteady phenomenon.
