Instrumentation
The LHT is equipped with various instruments for the measurement of static pressure, speed of rotation, flow velocity such as 5 hole Pitot tubes, hot films and laser doppler, etc, that allow for detailed high precision measurments in accordance with the IEC standards. Also a system for digital image processing is available which helps the comprehension of complicated phenomena in fluid mechanics.
Measuring Instruments
Two Ward-Leonard systems of 14 and 50 KW and continuous rotation speed regulation
Four electric torquemeters appropriate for meassuring torque from 2 to 100 KPM
Three electromagnetic flowmeters with recording instruments installed in the distribution pipe lines of nominal diameter 100, 250 and 400 mm.
